alphamale Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Hi , I am trying to install the beta 5 on my new forum (i deleted the ipb4 off as was just starting it and realised that the beta was coming out soon. Its showing up this error... An installation has already been activated for this license key. Your license key entitles you to one installation only. If you need to change the URL associated with your license, contact IPS technical support. I dont have any other installation. Any ideas? Matt
Jim M Posted October 15 Posted October 15 You have a license URL set to your license currently. You would need to ensure you're installing at exactly that same URL or you will get this error.
alphamale Posted October 15 Author Posted October 15 I am installing to the exact same url. Ive omitted certain part of the url with xxxxxxxxx but they are 100% the same. https://www.talxxxxxxxxxxes.com/admin/install/index.php?controller=license In the client area.. Licensed URLs Community URL: https://talxxxxxxxxxxes.com/
Jim M Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Your license URL does not have www so that would be correct that you're getting that error as your install URL does not exactly match what's on the license.
alphamale Posted October 15 Author Posted October 15 Done now. Worked that way when installing ipb 4 im sure. Oh well , its done now. Thanks

teraßyte Posted October 15 Posted October 15 The only part the license check skips is the protocol: HTTP vs HTTPS. Everything else in the URL has to match. It's always been like that.
