For the past month or so, we've been working with a small number of alpha testers to get some initial feedback and to fine-tune some of the new features.

We are now ready for more feedback, so today, we take the next step in testing!

We've opened up a new Invision Community 5 preview site for everyone to use, find bugs and offer feedback. The new preview site has a feedback area and a bug report area, so please use those areas on the preview site, rather than post your thoughts here.

There are two themes currently available. The first is the more 'classic' look that you will find instantly familiar. The second theme has the newer views enabled, such as the sidebar and feed mode for forums. You are welcome to switch between the two, and you can also change the layout options via your account settings. All this information is contained in the welcome topic over there.

I am a little bummed to see that the recurrence options for events haven't changed. There really should be an option to have an event happen, say, every 3rd Sunday of the month. Instead, we're stuck with August 14, September 14, October 14, etc.

Its only the first release of version 5. There will of course me many changes into the future. But with so many changes to the software, not everything will make the first release (as much as we would like it to)

Is there a way to center the table?

That is a feature we would employ :)

My work around (in V4) is to go through creating a spreadsheet, export as a .jpg, and then post the .jpg of the data - which i can center. that process is a bit involved, but OK for something that isn't updated often. But it's unworkable for something (event lists, sign ups, donor lists) that needs to be updated often, and with that many steps, isn't something any of my mod team wants to take on.

I do want to give 👍 thumbs up 👍 on the improvements to the the editor in general over V4. Well Done!

Oh, that site is with the dinosaurs now. I'll probably deactivate it. It's not been updated for a while.
