How can I configure my Downloads to work like here on IPS? Guests can't purchase:

Mine shows the BUY button:

I removed the permission to guests download files, but still, it is showing the button.

The only way I found was by disabling registration, then the new account option won't show up on the checkout page:

But that's not a good solution.

Is there any caching in place? Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this.

Watch the video:

First IPS as a guest (no BUY button) then my board as a guest. The BUY button is there.

 

Would suggest disabling all third-party applications and plugins then. As running the latest release on a basic install and not providing the guest group the ability to download files, has removed the purchase button (as seen in our Marketplace).

Will make a fresh install with only IPS apps and will reply back.

Running a fresh install of IPS 4.7.8 with only IPS apps, no plugin, default unaltered theme:

The category is using the default permissions for Guests:

The BUY button is there for guests.

We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.

Mine isn't enabled as you can see in the category permission (image above).

I had a few IP addresses blocked, not sure yours was there and if it was, why. I just cleared the list. Try now.

Unfortunately, still access denied here for the site assigned to this topic.

Correct. Seems to be resolving now all of sudden. Not sure if the block just took a few. 

However, now the credentials on file, I am getting are invalid:

The display name, email address or password was incorrect. Please try again (make sure your caps lock is off).

Just edited the data and made a test. All fine. Try now please.

Thanks for providing access. A little stumped on why this is happening for you as our settings are almost identical and even trying a few variations between them, I couldn't reproduce it so I have created a ticket to investigate further. Please check your email for more.

Just a closure on this. I'll leave the solution here as it may help someone else.

@Daniel F just responded to the ticket and to work like IPS, you need to remove the permission from your first group (Members, Visitors on IPS) to download, then Guests won't be able to purchase it.

Just to clarify, this is the default member group, the one which is in the conf_global.php file.
