Hello, 🙂

After upgrading to 4.7.7 today, I noticed that all new posts containing a link were held for moderator approval.

I went in the ACP / System / Settings / Posting and disabled Links Filtering option : I had chosen the « Allow any links apart from the links specified » option. Now I use « Allow any link » and it looks like it’s ok.

Have you encountered the same problem ?

Thank you 🙂

I havent seen any other reports of this. Are you saying that should have been selected, or it seems to have switched on upgrade?

This happened a few minutes after my community update. 🙂

Glad you found the issue, and of course check that on your next upgrade. If it switches again, let us know

@Marc Stridgen I think you may want to take a closer look at that setting...

Could contain: Page, Text, File

Could contain: Page, Text

One additional observation - notice that my valid URL is still a link, while the Google ones are not links?

These seem to be 2 different issues here. The OP was reporting it was switched on, and shouldnt have been. Whereas thats an issue when it is on. I will take a look at that and report back shortly.

The OP observed that it was on - but didn't mention whether the setting had any urls added (you can't manually enable it with no URLs added)...if the setting somehow toggled to that value via other means, then I suspect that the above issue I can see would begin occurring.

Good call, yes.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.
