Switch product after purchase

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to switch the purchase of a product for another product.

A member purchased a product with a renewal and asked me to change the purchase for another product that costs the same price.

What would be the best way to do this? The user group is different for each product but its price and renewal are the same. What should I do and how?

You couldn't just switch it out. You would need to refund, then invoice. So I would do it in the following manner

  1. Click "Cancel/Refund" on the original item, so that its refunded, they are returned to their original group etc, as normal. When asked, set it to add to credit rather than refund
  2. Create a new invoice under that account with the new item, and save
  3. Click to view the invoice, and select "Charge to account credit"
