Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 15, 20232 yr I can't login to AdminCP. I can login into the forum and also have access to Moderator CP. But clicking on AdminCP and entering my user/password I get the message that the site is not secure and resets the page to login again.
January 15, 20232 yr Community Expert Solution This is a browser requirement. You need to work with your host to setup SSL for your site. Once done, follow the following guide: Basically once SSL is setup, you change your board path in constants.php to be HTTPS instead of HTTP.
January 15, 20232 yr Author We had ssl but the conf_global.php was not going to https. I have an older version of the board don't know how to clear the caches. But I got into the cpanel. Need to make sure the version I have can be switched to php 8.1 Edited January 15, 20232 yr by Irish Rover Typo

January 15, 20232 yr Author OK, I finally found where the cache setting live in system advance database. Now to the next problem of upgrading the forums that are at 4.4.6 to 4.7.6 . Hope 4.4.6 does php 8. Thanks for all the expert advice and help. 😃
January 15, 20232 yr Do the following: Disable all 3rd-party resources (plugins/applications) Put a default Invision theme in place Ensure your site is working BACKUP your software and database. Download 4.7.6 manually Put PHP 8.0.x in place Upload/upgrade to 4.7.6 Test your site. Login to the ACP and go through the Marketplace onboarding and link your MP-purchased resources (if any) Update those resources (do not enable any) Test your site If all good, enable any 3rd party resources one at a time and test each time.
