Allen Talk Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 Extreme Beginner. When I use the registration form it asks for user to check terms of use. But there is no link to that policy. How do I include the Terms of Use. Prosto_Kust 1
Allen Talk Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 Actually I am trying to put a link on the registration form so users can read the Terms of Use before they are asked to agree to them.
Tripp★ Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) This can be setup from within the ACP (Administrator Control Panel), what @Adriano Faria showed you is correct. Simply: Within the system tab (The gears on the left hand side of the screen) Under "Settings" "Terms & Privacy Policy" There you will see "Site Guidelines", "Privacy Policy" and "Registration Terms & Rules". It's the last one of the three you want to fill out to make that appear on your registration form, as far as I am aware. You could also make the cookie bar appear at the bottom of the site too through this section of the ACP. Edited October 24, 2022 by Tripp★ Marc 1
Gary Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Hi @Allen Talk, We all have to start somewhere of course, so don't feel disheartened if you cannot find things like this. I am hoping the above posts helped answer your questions? Tripp★ 1
Allen Talk Posted October 25, 2022 Author Posted October 25, 2022 I'm sorry but I still don't get it. I went to the Terms & Privacy Policy settings and I could not find anything to enable that would place the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy on so that users can read them before they agree to them. I must be missing something.

Solution Randy Calvert Posted October 25, 2022 Solution Posted October 25, 2022 On the registration page.... The words "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy" are actually hyperlinks if you've set those policies in your ACP. They're not underlined, but they're clickable links if you actually click on them. But I don't believe it does that unless you actually have a policy defined in the ACP. That's what people in this thread are telling you to do. My Sharona, Prosto_Kust and Marc 3
Allen Talk Posted October 25, 2022 Author Posted October 25, 2022 Randy, thanks so much. That solves my problem. Randy Calvert 1

Jamie Horner Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Sorry to dredge this back up, but I have attempted to customize the Terms of Use in our Invision Admin account and I keep getting a 403 error when attempting to save.

You would want to contact your hosting provider and ask them to disable mod_security or their WAF temporarily to see if that is impacting you. Essentially, a 403 is a permission error on your server so something on your server is blocking you. This is not a software issue so your hosting provider or server administrator will need to assist.
