Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 26, 20222 yr Like most people i have a members first post set so it has to be approved. Most of the time the ones that aren’t approved are spam but occasional posts aren’t approved for another reason. It would be really useful if there was a built in option for showing the member the reason why their list wasn’t approved which they would receive as a notification or private message
July 26, 20222 yr Are those replies or new content (like topics, database records)? For the latter, you can just reply and the member will see it.
July 26, 20222 yr Author Ah I hadn’t considered that. That will work in most of the situations i think. Thank you
July 26, 20222 yr Hi Steve! Don't worry, coincidentally Approval Queue UI updates are currently in the works and hopefully will be included in one of the next 4.7 releases! Among other enhancements, exposing the reason content is held for approval is on the list so stay tuned. Thanks!
August 1, 20222 yr HI Matt, any update on enhancement to expose the reason for Approvals being needed? I have a situation where it seems "at random" posts require approval. I have not been able to pin down why certain users are targeted more than others. Thanks!
