Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 10, 20222 yr hello, i jjust open my forum and see this pop-up in my forum, may be this is the report or some thing from the moderator or i don't know but i didn't see any option to close this . what is this is this some new feature or any bug
July 10, 20222 yr It’s a new alert feature included with 4.7. It looks like your theme is hiding the button to dismiss it. As a result, you might need to update your theme. By the way the dismiss button is in the bottom light grey area. That should let you guess where it’s at to dismiss it so that you can go fix your theme for anyone else.
July 10, 20222 yr Important: If it is an alert, then this is what it normally looks like on an unmodified theme: The above cannot be dismissed unless you reply to the notice (the 'Replies' setting on the alert is set to 'Users must reply') - so, you may not be able to change your theme on the front-end at this point. If so, try clicking in that bottom right-hand corner of the dialog to see if the button is there. If you cannot do anything from the front-end then login to the ACP and do the following: find your account click 'Edit preferences' change the 'Theme' to one that is unmodified (if you don't have one, create one via themes) Then you can go back to the front-end and refresh the page to see the alert as it is supposed to look. Ultimately, it's a theme issue revealed by a moderator likely using the Alerts system as a quick way to notify other mods/admins.
July 10, 20222 yr Solution As mentioned by others in this topic, this looks to be the alert system (issued by your moderator) and a theme bug. You'll want to work with your theme's author to resolve the issue.

July 10, 20222 yr Thank you, I have made the Alert inactive and transferred this to a ticket so we can take a closer look at the content. Please do not delete this alert and please make your staff are aware as well.
