In a database record when the title is about 120 characters the link that comes with the email

redirects at the home page.

At the same record if we shorten the title it works as expected.

Of course with titles with smaller character count we don`t have any problem.

The issue remains from 4.6.11

I dont seem to be able to replicate the issue on my end. Before I log into yours to take a look, please could I confirm you are using a standard htaccess file there?

We use the default htaccess given by acp is with some minor additions.

The issue I'm describing only appeared in the last two versions, so the additions are not related to it.

Please remove those changes regardless. While I understand what you are saying there, it may well mean those changes did not affect older releases

We removed the additional htaccess directives, restarted the server,cleared forum cache and the problem remained.

We now have re-added the directives.

Unfortunately the problem persists even in the latest version (4.7.6).
