LIVIO
Hi, Everything is in the title. I can't figure out how to hide EXIF info of images published in Galleries. Many thanks for your help. Livio
WP V0RT3X
Hi, thought that was a setting too but maybe that was just on another CMS. Anyway you could simply search and edit the templates...
Sonya*
In AdminCP go to System -> Files and click on the button Image Settings. This would strip EXIF system-wide, not only in Gallery. Dexter_X, WP V0RT3X and Marc Stridgen 2

LIVIO
Hi, In fact it's not working. EXIF info are still shown on the front-end. Even with this option enabled. I tried to clear the cache system. I tried to upload a new photo (to see if it works only for new photos uploads) But in both cases, EXIF info remains. Thank you in advance for your help, Livio. Marc Stridgen
I can see this happening on your site and will need to get this escalated. I have created a ticket for you for this reason, and will get that sent to our developers to review

Solution Mark H Posted October 19, 2021 Solution Share Posted October 19, 2021 As followup for anyone reading at a later date, upper-tier support clarified the matter: This is actually working as intended. This setting strips the EXIF from the actual image file itself. Gallery shows a range of EXIF data about the camera/device, but does not show a location unless specifically enabled by the person that uploaded the image. Marc Stridgen
To clarify on this, it strips EXIF data from the file itself, but only removes sensitive information. We have an internal discussion to clarify this, and potentially make changes to this.
