Please add additional file type options to RSS import enclosure tag so its not just images. Nowadays, especially for podcasts, RSS feeds include content such as:

<enclosure url="https://xxxxxxxxxxx" length="76685898" type="audio/mpeg" />

Would also be great if its from an embed source that it automatically embeds the url within the post, whether in an enclosure tag or not.

Do you have an example feed you can show us to better illustrate what you mean?

Sure, we mostly see these for podcasts.

Here is one: https://feed.podbean.com/fishingaddictsnw/feed.xml

<enclosure url="https://mcdn.podbean.com/mf/web/ftzuqp/2_17_21_Audio806lv.mp3" length="39580126" type="audio/mpeg"/>

Here is another: https://feeds.npr.org/510310/podcast.xml

<enclosure url="https://play.podtrac.com/npr-510310/edge1.pod.npr.org/anon.npr-mp3/npr/nprpolitics/2021/03/20210305_nprpolitics_030521politicspodcast.mp3?awCollectionId=510310&awEpisodeId=974175687&orgId=1&d=1662&p=510310&story=974175687&t=podcast&e=974175687&size=0&ft=pod&f=510310" length="0" type="audio/mpeg"/>

Wow, I missed that. Thank you for posting this. I guess that answers the no response...seems the IPS team has lost some real talent. Hopefully those that left are doing well.
