pequeno Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 I used Social Media Promotions, but is very difficult configure with the Facebook permisions. And nonestly the support is poor in this feature by IPS. Facebook doesn't make it easy and it usually stops working unexpectedly. I have a support ticket from April 03, 2020 without resolving. With this last modification in manage_pages and publish_pages permissions, it again doesn't work and I have to request new permissions: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/changelog/version7.0 Quote The manage_pages permission has been deprecated and replaced with 4 new permissions: pages_manage_ads pages_manage_metadata pages_read_engagement pages_read_user_content The publish_pages permission has been deprecated and replaced with 2 new permissions: pages_manage_posts pages_manage_engagement Are InvisionCommunity looking for any alternative to promote our content on Facebook? Askancy Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 I do not understand why, to use this function you need to require a thousand approvals (practically impossible to have), while instead IFTTT can publish (even on pages) without any of that... I already imagine that the IPS staff will say that they have integrated Zapier for systems on cloud currently. but we're talking about a paid system... Can't you integrate a system like IFTTT? pequeno and BomAle 2
Daddy Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 My facebook promotion stopped working awhile ago on 4.4. Glad I'm not the only one having issues with it. pequeno 1
pequeno Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 Now I am testing Zapier: I connect Twitter with Facebook. I publish in Twitter with IPS and then zapier publish on Facebook from Twitter Sonya* 1
Management Matt Posted August 24, 2020 Management Posted August 24, 2020 Facebook do make it tricky by constantly changing permissions required and adding new requirements. We'll do our best to keep it up to date, but we are always exploring simpler ways via third parties to publish content to social media channels. Maxxius and pequeno 2

You're right, and that is why it is best to offer good support or other alternatives directly. Maybe through the zapier api would be a good idea.
Daddy Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Still having issues promoting IP.Downloads files. It works if you only select a single image. Anymore it will fail every time.
AlexWebsites Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Really wish there was a way to closely interact with fb groups. Post new topics to groups, return comments to ips, etc.
