Maxxius
Hello, I'm looking for advice, hope you can help me out. I'm trying to create my main homepage with blocks. but thing is I'm forced to choose a default app for that. And when I do I'm forced to have some sort of central element of the chosen app on the homepage which I don't really need. Apps have their own related pages. I wish to have a mainpage which is simply composed of various widgets that I place myself. how can this be done?
opentype
You need Pages, choose Pages as the default app and then a specific page as the default page (where you put your blocks on).
Maxxius
Thanks @opentype but wouldn't that make other page I make where I intend to show articles be filled with the same blocks I'd be putting on the default pages' page?

No, each page has it's own block configuration
opentype
Individual pages are independent from each other. Just different “views” of a single Pages database page share the same blocks. So if you create an empty Page Builder page and add blocks to it, the blocks will only ever show on that one page.
