vesperknight Posted August 16, 2019 Share Posted August 16, 2019 I recently upgraded from 3.x to 4.29 and after doing the utf8 convert and allowing the script to rename tables, it still left me with a few dozen tables with either a _copy suffix or a orig_ prefix I am pretty sure I can safely drop all those tables manually but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and if you also feel it's safe to drop these tables so they don't take up unnecessary storage space / memory many thanks! Rhett Posted August 18, 2019 Share Posted August 18, 2019 There is a tool built into the admincp to remove the orig_ tables (support section), on the _copy those are not from us, and something someone did manually along the way, as long as you don't need them you can remove them, as they are not used on our end.
