You can no longer paste text into the editor on iOS 13 (Public Beta 4). 

This is on 4.4.5. 
 

i realise this is Beta software but iOS 13 is pretty stable now & will be out in a month to the general public so just letting you know...

Can confirm. 

Tested with the CKE4 demo, and I was able to paste there.

On iPad OS it does work though strangely!

Which device? Works fine for me on iOS 13, iPhone X - dev beta 6.

I’m on the iPhone XS Max Running iOS PB5 which is the same as yours I think. Doesn’t work on that. I have the iPad Pro running the beta of iPadOS & it works fine. 

It works ok on the demo of CKE5 but not 4 on their demo pages. 

When you say "doesn't work" - can you please clarify? Does the paste option appear and do nothing? 

The demo isn’t working either now.

As the video above shows the paste option appears but nothing actually gets pasted when you press paste, I notice the editor briefly flash, but ultimately nothing gets pasted at all. I've tried it with plain text & formatted text. Neither work.

Thanks for the info guys. I still do not have an issue, but it sounds like it can vary. We will keep an eye on it and circle back around to it as iOS 13 gets closer to gold. 

@markymids are you using English as well? If so UK or USA?

Just wondering if its a language quirk in the beta.

I'm using English UK - I've tried adding English USA but still no joy.

I've even tried using Chrome on my iPhone & it won't let me paste text on that either.

If you attempt to paste into the notes app or similar, does the content paste correctly?

still present in IOS 13 developer beta 7

and yes, it works in notes or any other app

See the end of my (huuuge) video. I've also tried with both norwegian and english keyboard. Same result.

Copy & paste is still not working on developer beta 8/public beta 7 of IOS13 (released yesterday) running Invision 4.4.6.

I had forgotten how much I rely on copy & paste on my phone!

The only person here running the iOS13 beta has indicated it's working fine for them.

If copying and pasting is not working in the CKE4 demo, then most likely the concern is specific to CKE and we'll need them to issue a patch to resolve the issue. We're tracking this, but right now a bug in a third party software that only happens in a beta release of another third party software is a bit outside of our hands. Once iOS13 goes final if the issue persists, we'll definitely work with the other team to get the issue resolved.

Pasting any text is not working on the cke4 demo but is working on the cke5 demo. 
 

There’s a few weird issues I’m noticing on iOS13 too. Sometimes the double space for a full stop doesn’t work. Auto-correct doesn’t work. And I’ll often have large gaps in between paragraphs that never happened on ios12. 
 

Hopefully ckeditor will resolve these issues - I think this is around 3 weeks away now from going public. 

Just to add I have iOS 13 Public Beta 7 on my iPad Mini 5 and pasting doesn’t work. 

PB7 is failing here too. But as bfarber says, this is a CKE issue, not IPS.

Based on the flickering of the keyboard, I suspect it's trying to do the paste on the hidden and disabled <textarea> that's "below" the WYSIWYG editor. But without any dev tools that are able to connect to iOS13 I'm unable to verify that. ios-webkit-debug-proxy isn't compatible yet.

I've reported the issue to CKE and will follow up with any updates.

CKE has closed the issue - they will investigate if the issue persists once ios13 goes final.

Has anyone upgraded to iOS 13.1 beta? I'm staying on 13.0 for now but just wondering whether the issue still persists?

It's "fixed" in 13.1 PB 1. The strange animation is even worse now, but the text is pasted.

Just to confirm the issue still exists on iOS 13 public release, but iOS 13.1 is available on 24th September so if it's fixed in the beta, hopefully it stays fixed in final.

Not being able to paste text is making it real hard for me to do the things I need to do 😡
