Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 19, 20195 yr I love IPS and all it's features, but I prefer the capability of Wordpress from my blogging as I still can not wrap my head around Pages and there is little help to get to build what i want. So, I would like to have Wordpress comments use IPS so I get the member data from IPS with the comments. The question is if this is something I should build in IPS or in Wordpress using the IPS API?
July 19, 20195 yr We have a solution for that need: https://invisioncommunity.com/services/remote-commenting/ I am unaware of anyone who has outright integrated Wordpress using the REST API or similar methods.
July 19, 20195 yr Author I know, but that one is only available to Enterprise customers, which I am not. There was a similar IPS mod for it before, but what I ask is if it's something that is best to build on the IPS side or the Wordpress side? I could just create a topic and include it in an iframe, but that solution is not really great (especiallay if you can't strip the IPS header), so I would like a "proper" solution to use IPS as my member database of choice if possible.

October 17, 20195 yr Author I am using a template from @opentype and then just did some minor skinning. It's not that hard once you start to get the hang of it 🙂
