Calendar events time zone

Recommended Posts

Great that we each have our own timezone. Makes sense. But the calendar should have a timezone drop down that way if I set the time for an event in Paris, the right time will show up for a user in either D.C. or Tokyo.

Wow, was that always there? I’m not near my computer, but as soon as I get back to it if I see that it’s there, I will do 25 push-ups in penance.  On the other hand if you just snuck that in there, thank you!  What the heck, let me rush back to my computer.

However... does it tell people what time zone the time is listed as?

We have five time zones in Canada.  As someone who moves back and forth over four of those time zones, and uses a VPN, I really hate websites that try to auto adjust time listings for me.

The time listed should clearly tell the person what time zone it is and stay listed as such.    7:00pm EDT, for example. If it is switching to Pacific, it should tell you so.

Is that possible?

Thanks,

JM

That is not possible at this time. The time displayed is based upon your time zone (which is detected via javascript and so relies on your system time primarily).
