Platinumwealth.co.za
Rant over, I grew up and upgraded to 4.4.1, so far... php 7.3 is god fast. -- So glad I did not update yet, with version 4.4 I decided to wait for 4.4.1 since I figured 4.4 will be bugs turns out from reading everyone's posts 4.4.1 is a bit of a disaster, from lazy loading not working to forum default themes breaking to more serious users not able to access the forum through chrome... I am currently on v4.3.6 and want to upgrade to 4.4.x to take advantage of the post before registration and SEO improvements, but so far it seems 4.4.x is not ready for production boards yet. Will 4.4.2 be production ready? (I thought moving from phpBB/MyBB (free) to IPS (paid for, expensive vs what is out there in the paid space) would eliminate these kinds of issues where upgrades turns out breaking functionality.) Generally from what version do you guys consider a branch 4.4.x to be stable enough to run on a production server?

opentype
I’ve read those cases. And my answer still stands. The only confirmed issue was a lazy load problem limited to forum descriptions. That’s not exactly a disaster.
Platinumwealth.co.za
Disaster might be a bit of an overreaction, I just feel for that forum admin the amount of effort he had to go through because something did not work as advertised.
