PWA home screen icon not working on iOS

Has anybody else tested adding their community to the home screen on an iPhone with any success? It appears to work flawlessly on Android but I can't for the life of me get it working on iOS.

It all looks good when I check the source, the links to the images specified for the apple-touch-icon are valid and the images will load.

Might be down to a cache on your phone, and clearing web data may solve the issue.
