Posted January 9, 20196 yr A couple time a week my IPS installation would go wild and say there are thousands (4k+) of users logging in, yet Google Analytics says that is not the case and the logins also does not show in the logs. January 9, 20196 yr I would open a support ticket, it doesn't look normal to have thousand of guests logging in at the same time. Do you have maybe installed a plugin creating fake visitors?
January 10, 20196 yr Community Expert These likely are bots of some kind. Google Analytics will remove known bots from their reports. Your hosting provider may have more details or can block them if deemed malicious.

That makes sense, I will go through Cpanel's logs and see what I can dig up.
