Daniel F
Do you mean the members total posts? E.g. in your example 1712 shown here in the postbit? None, they're updated on runtime right after you post something.
AndyF
Previous versions did have a task to update topic views as a task or immediate (was an option) although that's completely different to post count incrementation.

We might make 100 or so posts, and the count stays the same, not sure how often it runs. We're approaching the 700,000 milestone, and people are not seeing the number go up. This is a sideblock on the forum home, I want to update this manually.
Ryan Ashbrook
I'm still not sure what you are referring too. Where is the count you are referring to displayed? There is no task that does a total recount of posts. Anywhere a post count is displayed is incremented immediately when a post is made. The only exception to this rule would be the Forum Stats widget displayed in the sidebar, which is cached for a specific amount of time. There is no task that controls this, and it just refreshes when the cache has expired. I don't have the code open currently, but I believe it's thirty minutes. You can manually clear this by running the support tool, but I do not recommend this as it clears every cache in place on the community, so you'll end up using more resources than necessary as it tries to regenerate them. OK, so it will need to wait then. My post above was merged. Yes, it is the forum stats in the sidebar.

Yes, it is the forum stats in the sidebar. Removing the block and putting it back in may correct the number instantly for that block. That's not a consistent solution however.
