Best Cache System for Invision ?

Featured Replies

Posted

Hi,

To optimize server charge, i would like to know what is the best Cache system to activate for Invision ?

Thank you for your help,

We have the widest support for Redis within the software, as it can be used beyond just caching. If I had to give a recommendation, it would be for Redis.

In the AdminCP you visit System > Settings > Advanced Configuration and review the various settings. You need the PHP Redis extension installed to use Redis (and of course will need a Redis server instance you can use).

Thanks Brandon. Would be great to see some stats for Redis (and even some of the other intergrations) so we can see if it's working and how well.

Define "well". There are third party monitoring tools you can use to inspect Redis, and we do actually have a debug-level cache inspector where we can verify redis activity during page output.

Beyond that, a new tool to get an overview of Redis use may make its way into the support area in the future.
