Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 28, 20186 yr Hey, is there any way to restrict user groups to use the subscriptions? Like it could do it before in the commerce?
March 20, 20196 yr I'd love this as well. We offer subscriptions to our users, but we also offer subscriptions to advertisers. The advertiser subscriptions are created specifically for each advertiser and should only be viewed by the advertisers user account. Currently we use products that renew monthly in the store, not the Subscription Plans area. I'd love to use the Subscription Plans part of Commerce to do this, but I can't expose all the advertisers' subscription options to all the users who aren't advertisers. Ideally, I'd create a Subscription Plan and specify a user or group that can see the plan. Question: Is there a way to do this using Subscription Plans?
March 20, 20196 yr No, you would need to offer them as Commerce products which have per product permissions. Products can work the same exact way as Subscriptions and offer more options.

The subscription product is specifically made to allow switching, not to offer different subscriptions to different member groups.
