We have a forum which holds release updates for our software. We would like to automate subscribing all our customers to this forum for email notifications based of our "newsletter" option on our actual website. 

Eg I will export a list of all the customers subscribed to our news letter and I'd like to add them to the notification list for our news forum. There is about 40 major clients so this is feasible to do by hand. How can I manually add users to the subscription list of a subforum?

Is there an "impersonate user" function where I can log myself in as the user via the admin portal?

Ah I found the "sign as as xxxx" function. I think I can achieve the result this way.

Also is there any way to set that any new users are subscribed to a specific subforum by default?
