Meddysong Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 I have a Pages database which is set not to include categories, since I couldn't think what they would be: http://completeesperanto.uk/ I'm now going to introduce categories, since the previous problem has resolved itself. That means that my current articles will move from http://completeesperanto.uk/articles to http://completeesperanto.uk/articles/titbits. I've already shared links to the articles at their original address so before I introduce categories, I'd like to make it so that anybody visiting https://completeesperanto.uk/articles/heading-westwards/ actually goes to https://completeesperanto.uk/articles/titbits/heading-westwards/. Is there a way to accomplish this without redirecting via the htaccess file?
Meddysong Posted August 28, 2018 Author Posted August 28, 2018 It appears as though by some sort of magic the redirect is automatic. Great development! 🙂
opentype Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Yeah, it really only needs the ID. For example: I stripped categories and the FURL part from this URL:https://invisioncommunity.com/news/-r1055/ Still works. Same with topics: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/447826-doesnt-matter
Meddysong Posted August 28, 2018 Author Posted August 28, 2018 Ahh ... that'll be why it didn't let me use the same slug in different databases then!
