I think I may have properly messed up, so thought I had better check with the pros!

I had a forum called workshop, I dragged it out of the grouping in ACP and put added sub forums to it e.g electrics, mechanical etc. Now it doesn't have any posts, where would there be or what do I need to add to get them back?

You sure not hide the forum using permissions ? As only way delete content is via clicking delete via Admin CP but if simply made sub folder the contents should be there.

Thanks for the response. I just got a reply back from support which fixed it. I didn't realise dragging a forum out of a grouping would turn it to a category.

This is because you have changed it to a category, instead of a forum. You need to change the type back to "Discussions" in order to see topics within it.
