UTF8-MB4 Convertor just not working on my sites

I'm having a mare with this UTF8 to MB4 convertor tool on my forums

These are long time forums - been going for years - and so are quite large database sizes

Running the convertor tool is giving me error after error

4C171/4 The database could not be converted. Contact your hosting provider or system administrator for assistance.

Invalid default value for 'response_type'

E.g the one above

I contacted my host provider to help me but they pushed me back to Invision
