Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted April 29, 20186 yr Due to the new privacy laws in Europe, I had to disable to possibility to embed links. I would like to see more options in the admin area, so I have a better control over the embed links. What I would like to have: When I deactivate embed links, Links to my forum are also not embed any more. I would like to have the option, that it will work for internal links only I would like to have the possibility, to chose which content I am allow to embed: YouTube: Yes VIMEO: No External Images: Yes ... When I deactivate embed links, images are also excluded, even if I activated the option to use the internal proxy. I would like to have the possibility to embed external images by the internal proxy.
April 29, 20186 yr +1 for those requests. Moreover, as I was 'promised' by invision support during 4.2.x branch, that we would have more features towards GDPR in our 4.3.x backends. Haven't found it yet, anyone else has? As the deadline is 25th of May. And we prefer not to get fined.

You've deactivated the "Automatic" embedding of links - as long as you still "Allow remote images", then the user can still do that manually via the following option.
