My advice to anyone who is enabling the iframely integration - monitor your usage, check the urls used, search gooogle to see if any of the target sites actually provide their own oembed endpoint, and then add it to the application using the functionality that this application has always provided.

I agree. What I like is that iframely helps embed some web pages with images instead of just the links. Its a very nice added feature, but if you have a lot of one source that can be custom added, thats the way to go.

Does telegram support oembed?

If the answer is yes then yes, you would be able to add the oembed endpoint using this application

If the answer is no then the iframely integration of this app may support the functionality.

Provide an example link.

Thank you!

See example:

embed code looks like this: <script async src="https://telegram.org/js/telegram-widget.js?19" data-telegram-post="bloodysx/20444" data-width="100%"></script>

I've installed the oEmbed plugin you linked to (thanks) and will give it a go.

Thanks for the purchase but you won't be able to get the code you provided working using it - as per the listing of my resource, it is for adding oembed endpoints into the default ones provided by Invision, and providing access to those on a group-basis (if desired)

So, the question is: does Canva provide an oEmbed endpoint? If yes, great...use that. If it doesn't, then you'll probably have to use the iFramely integration provided by my resource.

Hi there - I've just bought your plugin - thank you.

I'm trying to setup my site to showcase and link through to my library of Canva templates.

Canva says it supports oEmbed  and offers links to export for each template.

Here's an example:

What should I be doing to make this "come alive" as it were? I've installed your plugin and can't see where to configure anything in particular. Are there further things I should be doing? Or are you aware with issues re Canva in particular?

The answer appears to be 'No' - I can look into building this into the application in the same way I've previously added support for captivate.fm embeds, but it won't be for a few days.

Tip: next time someone suggests a resource, it would be a good idea to check with the developer before you buy. If I had seen that conversion before your purchase then I would have commented if it was going to assist.

Hmmm, in which case I'm confused.

Canva help files says this about that link (which is the smart link for the template in question):

For platforms that don’t support HTML embed codes, we suggest using smart embed links. They work on many websites, including the following:

  • WordPress.com
  • Medium
  • Any website with oEmbed support

No additional work required - I've found their oembed endpoint. Create a custom endpoint as follows:

Could contain: File, Webpage, Page, Text

Note: ignore the "Apply to these groups?" setting - that appears to have a bug which I will resolve at a later point.

Once you've added the custom endpoint, go to the group(s) that you want to be able to use it, and there is an 'oembed' tab there where you can configure what the group has access to use.

Once done, the  https://www.canva.com/design/DAFZWegAizg/view link will embed as an iframe in the Editor.
