Mike Gholson Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Hi guys, is there some documentation or spec sheets available about the server hosting options in my control panel? I am using the self-hosted capabilities but don't know what this is about. Some kind of write-up or how-to document would be much appreciated. Mike

Mike Appears there is not, have had a look in the Help guides but although it is listed there is no ducumentation
steve00 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Would have thought someone would have been able to help here ?
Joel R Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 You can maybe check with @Rhett or @stoo2000. I think they do some hosting in the side but not sure if they use Commerce to manage it.

What amazes me there are no tutorial/help guides for this function even though there is a category for it in the help guides
Management Lindy Posted April 30, 2018 Management Posted April 30, 2018 Sorry for the confusion. To be clear, this functionality allows Commerce to create/remove/suspend/unsuspend hosting accounts that you sell through Commerce, provided you use a cPanel server. Is this what you're trying to do? If so and you're having difficulty doing so, please submit a ticket and we'll be happy to try and assist. It's a very infrequently used, holdover feature in Commerce originally designed for our own use and similar niche cases. Depending on what our usage reporting in 4.3 looks like, it's possible it will be removed in the future in favor of more useful and modern features, so we don't have immediate plans to document it; I've removed the empty doc section for now to avoid further confusion.
Mike Gholson Posted June 17, 2018 Author Posted June 17, 2018 Thanks @Lindy! Seems like this should be removed if it's not used that frequently and isn't documented. Rather than supporting this feature, I'm in favor for new and more useful features instead. ?
AlexWebsites Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 I was going to use it but ran into the same issue about lack of documentation. Now that it may be removed, glad I didn't use this feature.
