This can bring incredible value to subscriptions as well - it is always difficult to price subscriptions, make it too expensive and people won't subscribe, make it too cheap and you might be losing revenue. I don't mind making the subscription price "pay what you want" style and I believe it will be more beneficial. There is difference with donations - for donations you don't get something back (usually), with subscriptions you get the premium perks. What I want is the option to have the member themselves decide how much value they put on these premium perks.
