Data at Your Fingertips: Explore Our New Reporting and Statistical Capabilities By Ryan Ashbrook Yesterday at 01:29 PM
Samantha Smith
Hi, We've built a website using IPB4 but whenever we try to add a link to one of our web pages to a LinkedIn post it doesn't generate a preview of the page - we just get a message saying "Cannot display preview. You can post as is or try another link." Does anyone know what might be causing this? The page I want to promote doesn't have any restricted permissions. I'm wondering if it might be a PHP or coding issue. Samantha

Samantha Smith
Hi @opentype - thanks for the reply. Couple of random things I've discovered since my original message: 1. The preview issue only happens when I try to use web links from our IPB sites - if I use a link from another site that we run, which doesn't have any connection to the IPB ones the preview is generated. 2. If I use Hootsuite to generate my LinkedIn post the preview is generated. I'm still thinking its some sort of compatibility issue but I don't know whether its something we can fix ourselves or if I just have to learn to live with it.
