Hide an active club?

I am using clubs for site sponsors and at times rather than deleting a club i need to hide it from public view. Similar to hiding topics. I still need the club and its content but for a certain time i need a way to hide a specific club. I know i can make the club private but if its already an active club surely the people who are already members will still see it. 

 

Is there such a feature as to hide a club???

The only way is updating the approved column to 0, then it will appear only to members who can approve clubs (Has leader privileges in all clubs? permisison).
