Kjell Iver Johansen Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Recently IPS changed the way ads appear in the sidebar. Before I only had ads in sidebars if there was a block there before. On my forum that was in the sidebar of the frontpage. Recently IPS changed the behaviour so that every page on the forum has an ad, even if there was no block before, and I did not notice because as an admin I dont have ads for my group. This caused a sudden increase in my revenue, but I was not aware of the changes, and it also caused more ads on a page that Googleads allow, and I will need to change that. Now I notice in the release notes that in the next version, 4.2.6 this is fixed : Ad code placement has a new setting to clarify how sidebar display should be handled. Could we get more details on what is changed?
Jim M Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 There will be a new setting to distinguish how you want the sidebar ads to appear. All pages or only with sidebar blocks.
