Add statistical reporting on a per-category/per-forum basis

I would like to track activity (new topics, new posts, etc.) on a per-category and/or per-forum basis. For example, with a setup like this:

Flintstones (category)

• Fred
• Barney
• Wilma

Jetsons (category)

• George
• Jane
• Judy

I would like to track activity separately at least for Flintstones and Jetsons -- and Fred, Barney, etc. would also be good.

Part 1: Topics and Posts

Older versions of IP.Board reported this information. But, the statistics chart in the current version shows new topics and new posts for the entire site only.
