We have a topic where I would like to put an announcement on main page but preferable on other forum pages also.

How can I do that?

Well, for announcements, there is the announcements function. You can put that (widget) anywhere.

It is nice but I miss one thing....to show the formatting and links without clicking on the announcement itself...is it possible to show that?

There is no setting for that, no. It’s a link pointing to the full announcements, where the full HTML is shown. 

(If you want to mess with your templates to change that, you can use the search function here. That was discussed many times.)
