Can members still customize their member title in 4.2?  This is a screenshot from 4.1, I don't see the member title field in 4.2.

Yep! They need to have permissions for it in ACP -> Members -> Ranks:

Its a shame that this is not linked to groups rather than just content items

yes, we are coming from vBulletin and missing some way to set member titles based on the member's primary group. to me the title relates way more to their group than their content-based ranking. tying title to group would also be more flexible as you can define rules to promote their group and affect that title, but rank is ONLY based on number of posts.
