How to put sub-forums in two columns using IPS 4.2.0?

On the early days of December I've downloaded the latest version and installed it on my site. This version had some extra holiday effects (eg lights on navbar). As the holidays season has past, how I can disable these effects?

I don't get how to install this into my old theme to update it since it's not compatible with ips 4.5. 

Will this be a different series of code to change the font size for the Gamozilla Theme?
