Posted June 8, 20178 yr Does anybody know how to remove the "Reason for edit" and the "Show that the message has been edited" when editing a post? Edited June 8, 20178 yr by Genestoy
June 8, 20178 yr It is a group setting. Go to ACP - Members - Groups and select a group. Edit it and on the Content tab look for the option "Can edit silently".
June 9, 20178 yr "Can edit silently" only removes the checkbox "Show that the message has been edited". AFAIK there is no option to remove the field to enter the reason for the edit... I am pretty sure you have to edit the templates to remove Reason-Field.
June 9, 20178 yr Author I suspected that was the case and if anybody knows where the template edits can be done I would sure appreciate it. Thanks
June 9, 20178 yr There's no template for this. The formfields are coming from the php files ( Content\Item and Content\Controller ) The only way to remove this without an plugin is to disable the "Do not log edits" setting in your ACP => System => Postings
June 9, 20178 yr Author THANK YOU Daniel! Worked great as I don't care if any edits get logged. Now if I can just get the drag and drop disabled and the "add to post" + icon disabled in the posting template all will be well! AND a great big THANK YOU to Lindy for taking care of my support ticket. Gene
