Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted June 5, 20177 yr I propose adding a limit of some sort to the number of features that club owners can create for each type. For example I want my club owners to be able to only create 1 topic area, 1 calendar section, 1 gallery, etc etc etc. It'd be even better if all the clubs would just have the same default options all enabled at the creation (besides a blank slate). Like every new club came with everything I chose enabled by default.
June 5, 20177 yr Keep in mind that limiting nodes will severely restrict your content. You can't have subcategories or subforums. The only way to offer multiple categories is to offer multiple tabs. I do like, however, having 1 of each app as default. This will make the club 'ready to go.'
June 7, 20177 yr Author Yes, I do understand that and its exactly what I'm aiming for. My user base isn't the most technologically advanced people you'll meet. The club admins will be creating new nodes for each individual discussion they want to have and ultimately end up with hundreds or thousands of nodes before long.
August 21, 20177 yr I've just spent the best part of the morning trying to work out how to do this. Whilst I'd like them to create their forums, I dont want 6 club gallery's and 5 club calendars for each club. Makes sense to me.
