If someone I follow adds a file to downloads (marketplace) should I be notified?

Why isn't this working and where is the setting to turn this feature on???

The notification "Someone I am following makes a post" must be enabled and it is GLOBAL... will notify you of everything (topics, posts, images, files, reviews, comments, status updates, etc).

IS there a way for me to turn this on for everyone?

also I wish there was a setting ONLY for files added to downloads.

Not sure if this could be a simple MOD idea but it would be fantastic!!

Kevin made this but it seems unsupported due to core changes:

Shoot it won't work with newer versions of IPS. I hope someone picks it up. @Kevin Carwile and chance of working on this?
