How to Insert a New Post Between 2 old Posts

Greetings. 
How can I add a post between 2 old posts in a topic ? I have been searching a widget for 4.1.x but I found nothing. 

My plan for now is to add a post and access the database directly to change the date for another one between 2 posts.  Do you think it can work ?

Do you have any instructions for that ? something I need to take into account ?
