Limited Email Content

Can you please describe how to do it? Specifically:

I want to cut the content only in posts with title containing specific word.

And

I want to cut content only on new posts, but not replies.

All the rest will continue to be sent with full content.

There is "..." on the end of truncated content in email. But in my case there is no "...". There is just truncated content. How can I add this "..." on the end of message?

Sorry, the screenshots are outdate, this was replaced with the button  containing "Continue reading.."  ( language string limitedemailcontenta_continue_reading )

This text "Continue reading.." in other line so it looks strange now, it would be much better with "...".

Is it possible to have this app ignore quoted comments when counting the number of characters?

When people quote a previous response it uses up the entire character limit often on my site. It would be great to just start the character limit counting with the new comment text.

That’s a great idea . I guess it shouldn’t be too hard to strip out the quotes before this app counts the content but I can’t promise it yet and we’re really really busy with other stuff so we’ll not be able to test this idea before October . But it’s really really an amazing idea and I’ve put it high priority on my list..

Remove quotes, emojis, attachments and count only the remaining chars

You should see it on the Email templates page. I'm on my phone, will reply to this later with further instructions.

I was wrong, there's indeed no easy way to find the key if you're not a developer. I'm going to improve this in the next version and will probably show the key next to the template name in the ACP > Customization > Emails table.

I am not sure cause I haven't checked out yet, but i believe in the last update there is some wrapper template updates, i think we can do this straight up there.

Same thing. Il would be GREAT and essential beacause right now it is impossible to activate this.

It would be to hard for admin and modo to works without all the infos.

Plus we have members supporting the site and I want to give them the advantage to still see all the messages like before.

Is there any way I can add the welcome email as an exclusion by using any of these setting?

@Gauravk as explained above, ACP > Customization > Emails, there is a table with App & Email keys, find the key(s) for Auto Welcome 2.5.5 email(s) and add them to the whitelist.
