Hi, I'm wondering how to do a minor upgrade of my self-hosted IPS software. Can I just unzip the contents of the latest IPS release and copy them to my existing IPS directory (/var/www/html)?

Two choices:

1.  Run the ACP > System > Support tool to automatically go through the upgrade

2.  Download and unzip all contents.  You can safely overwrite everything.  

Thanks Joel. I am deploying IPS inside of a Docker image so being able to overwrite the contents (option 2) is perfect for me.

But be SURE you back up the current structure and DB before you do so.
