I would like the browser notifications feature to either be opt-in or disabled completely. I do not want every user's browser to ask for permission to push notifications when they visit the site. Is there a way to disable or otherwise control this feature? I have not seen any options on it.

So nothing? Immediately confronting a user with a popup when they sign in strikes me as incredibly rude, and I know from personal experience that I hate it when a site bombards me with a request to allow notifications when I visit it. If I wanted to be notified about stuff on a site I would set it up myself.

Better opt-in controls for this would be great, and the ability to choose what kind of messages you can receive.
