LiquidFractal
A pretty straightforward question: any way to say when the IPB suite will enable Pages searchability? I understand it's in the works, although I have yet to hear anything more about it. I know this is generally desired by many and has been mentioned by other people (but for some strange reason they posted on it in the Client Lounge instead of here):
opentype
Just to clarify: The app “Pages” isn’t excluded from search. What isn’t included is certain widgets with text you can put on a “Pages page” and additional fields other than _title and _content you can add to a Pages database. Yes, but it seems that manually-coded pages created with the Pages app are not included in Search either.
Flitterkill
I asked a few months back, asking as a stop gap if anything else to just auto dump the additional (not title or content) fields into the index to make stuff at least findable. It is after all a single search pile for each content item so the end result would be we get what we want (just not filterable). Response was this is getting looked at so I imagine we'll get something here when they make the next sweep of Pages in their dev cycle. You're right on manual pages liquidfractal so that is probably part of what they are looking to do. IPS tends to take some time to mull the larger problem before enacting solutions rather than just stop-gap things (my dump the text in solution) so that too is probably going to be accounted for,
