Right now the Marketplace largely caters to IPS application and plugin developers. I think there's a large untapped market for actual designers. 

For example, graphic design. People who can make, say, icons for forums, favicons, et cetera, et cetera. I know I'd personally hire some graphic designers off of the Marketplace were it an option. 

Beyond that, actual page designers, etc. For example, I'm decent with laying out pages. ie my home page I did yesterday: http://tyrenale.net I'd love to sell my services as a designer to other IPS users, but that's not quite an option as far as I can tell right now.

So... Maybe add a "Commission" category with categories like:

• Graphic Design
• Page Design
• Theme Design
• etc

What does one have to do so that they can post in the Providers area? Upload a plugin etc?

Yes, I believe it becomes available once you have something in the Marketplace.
