The version compatible with IPS 4.7.3 is currently pending approval.

Current version has an issue in PHP 8.1 only if you're using the setting to add ignore topics to new members. New version submitted: IPS 4.7 & 4.6 with PHP 8.1, 8.0 and 7.4 compatible.

No, without have the theme... anyway, even if I have it, I would have to change the plugin to fit the theme, which is not right.

Talk with designer. Something in his theme is out of the pattern.

Hey! Will this work with IPS 4.2. *

  • 2 months later...

I just purchased the plugin, and my users who have posted in a thread they now ignore will get notifications from the ignored thread if a user quotes or reacts to their posts in the ignored thread.

Any ideas?

It removes the notificaitons of the followed topic. I'll take a look to remove these 2 when I have to upgrade to 4.6.

Okay, so to be clear - until 4.6 comes out if someone ignores a topic that they have posted in and someone quotes or reacts to their posts, they WILL get notified of said quote/reaction?

Also, if a person ignores their own thread (I know, just hear me out), will it stop sending them notifications?

Hi there,

I just upgraded PHP to 8.0 and the forum itself to latest 4.7.x. I neglected to disable 3rd party plugins before doing so and encountered issues, preventing access to my forum (my fault). Running recovery mode fixed the issue, and now the 3rd party marketplace purchases (including Ignore Topics) are disabled.

I went to update to the latest version compatible with 4.7 and was met with an error. Is that because I need to enable the Ignore Topics application first? Or should I perhaps remove the old version and install again? Would prefer to retain any user data.

Appreciate your help.

Just update to newest and enable it after that.

I gave that a whirl and see the following in the forum's system log, after the update failed:

Extraction from phar "/tmp/IPSMP5Hvui6.tar" failed: Cannot extract "Application.php" to "/usr/share/nginx/html/applications/ignoretopics/Application.php", setting file permissions failed

Let me know if this pertains to something about the forum, rather than your plugin, I can chase it up with the wider community. I'm not 100% sure we've ever needed to upgrade a plugin, but we certainly installed them OK from the marketplace section of the ACP prior to upgrading to 4.7.

It's not related to his plugin, particularly if it's disabled. You have some other things going on. In this case, file permissions…

I figured. Cheers for confirming, I'll make a thread in the general support forum here for assistance.

Finally upgraded to IPS 4.7.4 and updated to Ignore Topics 2.4.3.

When clicking on Stop Ignoring

Could contain: Text

I get the following error

Could contain: Page, Text

I am a CiC account

Could contain: Text, Page, File

and although we normally use one of Ehren's IPSfocus themes, I still have retained the Default unmodified theme.

However using the standard IPS theme, the behavior is unchanged ...still get the same "page does not exist" when trying to stop ignoring a topic.

You may have also seen in you support forum for Ignore Forums  I'm also having an issue there.

The behavior as noted there is also unchanged using the standard theme ... no red button.

Both the plug in and the app are showing in my AdminCP as the current versions and I have also cleared all cache and retested ... no change in behavior.

I'll PM the admin account
