Sidebar on mobile view similar to menu drawer?

As I posted on the Peer to Peer forums:

I am wondering if someone would like to take a hack at this theme mod? Basically, I would like to be able to display the sidebar in mobile view, on a drawer similar to the drawer shown when clicking on the menu button.

The menu button is on the top right corner and the menu slides out of the right side of the screen. I would like a sidebar button on the top left corner and have the sidebar slide out of the left side of the screen.

Any takers?

Hi Steve,

Ok, let me try to explain better...

Here is an image of my desktop homepage:

You see the sidebar with blocks on the right side of the desktop view?

Ok, here is a screen shot of my homepage when in mobile view:

mobile_homepage.JPG

The only way I can see the sidebar with blocks is if I scroll this page all the way to the end because mobile will first show all content and then show all sidebar blocks last.

When I click on the MENU BUTTON on the top right corner of the screen, this is what I get:

As you can see, clicking the menu button does NOT show you the sidebar blocks. It only shows you the menu.

What I want is for another button on the mobile homepage menu bar, so that when I click it, it will open up a drawer similar to the menu drawer but it will show all sidebar blocks instead.

Here is an image of what I want to display with an additional sidebar button:

See what I am talking about?

I built a theme that basically does what you ask, but it's not on the left, it's an off-canvas menu which contains the sidebar widgets as well as your user control panel. There is a theme option I made that lets you put it on left or right.

This is in desktop view, as well as mobile view..... so all bases are covered.

Can you edit my theme so that this feature is implemented? Can it be done via a plugin or something? Where is your theme? I would love to take a look at it...

Please contact me so we can work the details of it would be a custom job... ??
